What is Sustainability?
Our definition of Sustainability is best described as a combination of the Five: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership.
Why Sustainability matters?
Long-term value creation requires a company to consider its impact on all stakeholders, not just the owners. Businesses exist as part of a larger ecosystem. They can thrive only with the support from and the acceptance of their customers, suppliers, employees, communities and regulators.
Sustainability has been long recognised as a strategic driver of value creation. It allows companies to proactively respond to and benefit from transformational change.
Paying attention to sustainability does not compromise returns – rather, the opposite. The apparently non-financial factors can and do have real financial impact.
